Mike Ruban
Mike Ruban was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and moved to the United States at age nine without knowing a word of English. By eleven, he had nearly mastered the language, a quiet testament to his determination.
He later attended Virginia Tech to study accounting, but despite his aptitude for numbers, he found himself drawn toward a career with a more direct impact on people’s lives. After graduating, he set aside the path toward CPA certification and chose to pursue the law instead.
Mike earned his legal education at Liberty University School of Law, where he studied black-letter law, the history and traditions of the American legal system, and its Christian intellectual heritage. His interest in litigation led him to join the school’s Trial Team, giving him hands-on experience with courtroom strategy and advocacy.
After extensive preparation, Mike passed the Virginia bar exam on his first attempt. He now applies his developing legal insight and research skills at Kendall Law Firm, working to serve clients with diligence and clarity.
